Although we had attended the Snake Saturday parade for years, this is the first time Smoke Me Tender BBQ has attended the bbq contest. This was a very special event for us.   This was Gary "Elvis" 50th Birthday party!  Oh did we have so much fun.   The team had approximately 80 family and friends attend for Gary's party and one of the faviority saying was "I'll Drink To That".   North Kansas City was our first contest with t
he new smoker.   Our team scores reflect that most of the team had a little too much to drink!   Next year will be better!

The NKC BBQ Contest is currently the 1st contest of the year and it can be quite cold.   This year there was a small dusting of snow on Saturday morning.   The event has attracted more than 100 entries ever since it started just 24 years ago.
